I made a batch of Bubba's style sauce and froze individual portions for one pizza. I have been noticing that upon defrosting the sauce is pretty wet (watery).
Last night after defrosting 3 portions of sauce I decided to put the sauce in a fine strainer. LOW AND BEHOLD
, what I had left after draining was 2 portions of sauce. I lost a full third to water. Now I know I didn't put that water in there when I made the sauce
. I figure the freezing process developed ice crystals in the sauce and when thawed I was left with water. Who wooda figured?
No big revelation, just thought I would share this AMAZING discovery.
