Quoting a post to new message

Would someone please help me with this...I'm becoming a bit more savy with computer things and would enjoy being able to use this tool.
How do I add a post from another page into my current post I am creating...you know, the pink shaded box that will be someone else's message that I now am inserting into my text. Above my message and also anywhere along in my message where I would like to insert one. I think that is so cool!

The 2 most important commands in windows (Mac-heads are on their own):

Ctrl + C  copies to clip board
ctrl + V  pastes from clip board

Bonus:  ctrl + X  copies to clipboard and erases from current window.

So, find the post, highlight the address line at top, press and hold the ctrl key, then hit the c key.  Change windows to the post you are working on, place the curser where you want it and hold the ctrl key and hit the v key.  Done!

Edit-to copy text in a post, highlight the desired text, then do the same thing.

That way is done using the quote button, as opposed to the way I told you.

Thanks so much Tom. I have no problem with the quote button when I am on that page/post. I think you have just given me the "keys" to unlock my containment.

Hit the quote button, then highlight the text (all of it) that it puts in the reply post, then use your Cntl C, go to the place you want it to appear and use Cntl V to add it.

But it posted your whole quote.....but my new mad skills just figures out how to get a particular segment of the whole quote. Life is grand baby!!
