Famous Famiglia is fast becoming a chain restaurant like Sbarro's also out of New York.

I just tried them for the 1st time 6 months ago after they built one on the Chicago Tollway.

They have really great Garlic Knots, they seem really simple but I can't quite seem to get the formula right.

I found a recipe for Garlic Knots that Emeril posted on Foodnetwork.com  The texture is about the same, but the taste is quite different.  Emeril's recipe calls for regular olive oil and Percorrino-Romano Cheese.  But I think Famous Famiglia's uses Extra Virgin & Parmasean cheese, I also believe that minced garlic is baked right inside.  They may also use Garlic Powder.

Has anyone ever tried their garlic knots, its seems pretty straight forward, but I just can't seem to get the recipe right.  I'm sure the recipe is just the following ingredients

Minced Garlic or Garlic Powder
Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Fresh Parsley
Parmasean or Romano Cheese
Butter or Margarine.

For the crust I just used Emeril's Dough Recipe for Garlic Knots that seems right.
