Attachments and allowed file types
« on: December 16, 2007, 02:04:09 PM »
Any possibility that .doc, .rtf, and .txt files be added to the list of permitted types of attachments?

Sure would be easier to trade recipes that way seeing as how a lot of folks save their recipes that way.

Just a thought....  ;)

I'll go ahead and allow .txt attachments. Word documents (.doc) are potential virus carriers.

Thanks. Didn't know that .doc files could carry viruses. Seems that virtually every type of useful file (.zip, .gif, .doc, .pdf) has the potential to carry viruses. :(

Ack.

Yes, the problem with .doc (e.g., Microsoft Word) files is that they can carry macro viruses:(
