Here are my two favorite sauces:
NY Style Sauce: 6-in-1 crushed tomatoes, Bonta pizza sauce, oregano, garlic, salt, pepper. For a test batch, use 28 oz 6-in-1 tomatoes, add enough Bonta so that the sauce is no longer watery, add approximately 1 tsp dried oregano flakes, 1 or 2 cloves fresh garlic (minced), salt and pepper to taste. Mix all ingredients together and add to pizza (do not cook this sauce).
Chicago Style "Deep Dish" Sauce: 6-in-1 crushed tomatoes, fresh basil, fresh garlic, salt, pepper. For a test batch, use 28 oz 6-in-1 tomatoes, 1 Tbsp fresh basil (clopped), 2 cloves garlic (minced), salt and pepper to taste. Mix all ingredients and add to pizza (do not cook this sauce).
