Hubby and I purchased a Festivo oven from an EBAY seller in March of this year. I read the other threads on the oven here after I received ours and had used it. I agree that the top oven chamber never does get up to the advertised 800 degrees but the lower chamber really cooks. The plus for us is that living in the south and not having central air conditioning, the Festivo allows us to continue to enjoy pizza during the summer months and not choke on the heat in the house from having to heat up the main oven in our stove for almost 90 minutes just to bake 2 simple pizzas for our dinner. Usually the Festivo is ready to go after a 35 minute heat up, the pizzas come out with a charred, blistered bottom and cooked just the way we like them, subsequent pies seem to come out even faster than the first. We have been very happy with it but we are beggining to wonder if anyone who has one has had it long term and used it a lot, currently we use it at least twice a week and wonder how long it will last given as much usage as we are giving it, so has anyone here had one for longer than us and put it thru it paces long term? Are there any other small home model ovens that anyone can reccomend in the event ours goes belly up in the near future, or does anyone here have a Festivo sitting around they are looking to unload? Thanks for any answers. Happy pizza making!
