no, its a cool mixer,  I have made my best doughs with it, but I need a bigger mixer.  Im just going to stick with hand mixing for my normal day to day stuff, and use a commercial mixer for when I cater and have large parties.   I do think that if it were slower it would produce an even better dough.

Ah, I see. Well, that is good news for me ;D - Even though it might be a bit too fast, I guess it will outperform my hand kneading technique easily :-)

To slow a mixer down why not plug it into a good quality router speed control?

I decided to put my santos up for sale instead of trying to modify it.   To bad you didn't buy mine, as it is brand new and could have saved you $600!  Its still for sale!!!!

Is this santos mixer still for sale? Today we are Jan 12, 2010...Thanks
