After watching the video I see what you mean. I can't believe that something can be frozen and still come out that delicate and good. They seemed fresh made.

My Updated trip to Bova foods today
My friend is coming up early next week and he wants my Last 2 Grande East Coast Blends I have left.
I think I only have enough Grande to make One or Two more pizzas left,so I felt since I might be in the area why not stop at Bova.
Case of Grande East Coast Blend $73.20 (Date on the case 2-22-2010}
3 Cases of Bova Breaded Veal cutlets $32.50 per case
2 cases of Lamonicas 26 22oz Pizza dough $22.45 per case (geez and I was paying $1.50 in the past for a few,,,best to buy a case,under a dollar per dough ball.(Better then the brand I have always bought from walmarts}
And 1 case of Pizza sauce $19.99

I am stock up for now and glad to have Bova within 1 hour from home......

I stopped at Altieri and sons in Norristown. They are another wholesale food dist. I picked up a product list and it has Grande whole milk Mozz in it. I did not get a price but here is their number is 610-275-1212.
If I recall you were you looking for it. They also have the best cheese steak meat in 10lb boxes.

Norristown is kinda far from the Poconos area
Bova is alot closer
I bought a case of Grande Whole Milk awhile back and felt its best to stick with the East coast blend since it melts better as many have said(I don't see a differance}
But If I am ever in the area of Norristown,I will give them a try,,,thanks

I finally got a case of unbreaded veal -10# for $32. I had it breaded for dinner and It was great. I was really happy that they were individually vacuum sealed.

I bought the real fresh Breaded veal frozen,not the patties....

No No No. I got 5 Oz sliced veal cutlets. They are not patties. I will take a pic next time, but here is one from the net. I prefer non breaded because I can always bread them myself. These are the same ones that restaurants sell for Veal cutlet dishes. I have great reservations buying premade patties of any type.

We bought the same but mine are breaded.(its what you enjoy best}
Not a bad price(kinda cheap since we make these ourselfs}
The ones that I bought are not each sealed.
The ones I got are
6Lbs Hand Sliced Breaded Leg Veal Cutlets(think they are 4oz each but can be wrong}
For $32 each I bought 3 cases,,,,nice to know I will not run out
before my next trip to Bova lol..Now you have a place for yeaaa veal,,,I didnot know they sold Veal until I asked lol.........JT

Just a heads up. I took a sample of stick Oregano (Gangi Dante) to Bova for Frank to try. He really liked it, and is going to order a case of 12 for the store. It's worth a try if you see it.

They sure look like Fresh Veal,,,They Don't look like those
crappy veal patties yukkkk lol...Price is great at $32
I think my next trip to Bova I will have to buy a case of Mozz sticks.
I think it will be alot cheaper then buying it by the bag
I found that out after buying Dough balls at $1.50 each and
by the case 88 - 90 cents each lol...............Bova rulesssss

After reading the other posts about commercial hamburgers I decided to look for the "Pub Burger". I did not find any so I finally decided to try Farmland Black Angus Silver that Bova carries. It was $31.05 for a 10# box of 6oz raw frozen patties. They grilled up very well. Both my wife and I were quite pleased.

You know I will have to buy a Case of the Burgers now.

1 case of Burgers
2 cases of Veal
1 case of Dough balls
1 case of Mozz stick and a case of East coast blend...........
I am not sure if i can fit everything in my freezer in my garage and
will need to clear away older food just to make roon lol.........JT

I made my first trip to Bova Foods today. My daughter drove and it took about 1 hr. 50 minutes to go one way. I bought some 6in1 sauce, olive paste, a cheese grater, Citterio Mortadella, Durum Semolina flour, some other small stuff and two steel pans. I am excited to try the two steel pans.

The one square steel pan is 12 square and the round one is 12" both measured from top sides. Wonder what I can bake all the in the steel pans. Should be fun!

Nope, no Gangi.

I could have purchased some, but thought in the Mack’s thread I want to try regular tomato pastes so members also might be able to purchase the same kind of tomato pastes, if they work for attempts at the Mack’s pizza. I don’t think too many members have access to the Gangi sauce.

I will now be making more Greek pizzas and maybe a Jet’s attempt since I purchased the steel pans.

My daughter went to Philadelphia airport today and said she would drive me to Bova Foods, after we went to the airport. I created an account with Bova incase I want to be able to purchase wholesale from their warehouse. I only wanted to purchase a block of cheddar and a 5 lb. box of Greek Oregano leaves (wholesale) today, but did pick up other items from their regular retail store. Bova has so many great food items that I had a hard time deciding what I would like to try.

I purchased some Imported Pecorino Romano cheese in a bag ground fine, various pastas, Sliced Sopressata, Burrata balls, 2 packs of Pocket coffee, Gangi Supreme Extra Heavy Tomato Puree, small cans of 6-in-1’s, and a bag of “00” flour.

The Pocket Coffee espresso is really good.

I could have purchased a lot more, but did spend enough money.

Pictures of what I purchased and picture going though Philadelphia on the way to Bova. The amount of time it took to go from my area to the airport, then to Bova, and back home again was 6 ½ hrs.
