Impressions of 6 in 1 I ordered online
« on: May 20, 2010, 05:40:29 PM »
I ordered 6 in 1 tomatoes, #10 cans, along with some other items online.  Great flavor right out of the can! WOW!!

I know my tastes are those of newbie but I was really impressed with 6 in 1.  It was naturally sweet and I couldn't detect any acidic flavor.  I had to adjust my normal pizza sauce recipe to eliminate the sugar and reduce the salt.  The consistency is close to perfect for sauce the way I use it for NY Style Pizza.

I'm curious to see how the sauce keeps when I can the remaining pizza sauce in pint jars.

Do the experts here reduce the tomatoes for further for their sauce?

I also love this product! I have frozen a month  with no ill effects. I think I recall I have also read on this forum somewhere of users storing just refridgerated for 4-6 weeks!

Thanks for the post THP.  I have a can of 6N1 ground tomatoes I've yet to try.  The Eschalon and Stanilaus products get high marks on the forum.  I'll be interested to see how these stack up against the Stanilaus products.
