Deep Dish Pizza
« on: November 10, 2010, 12:01:07 AM »
Just wanted to share some pics of the pie I cooked today.  Dough is a copy of one of BTB's Malnati recipes.  Pizza was cooked on my Bubba Keg grill.  Cooked for 27 minutes at 450 degrees.  Came out great.  Probably the best pizza I have had in a long time.  Used some 6 in 1's and some diced San Marzanos with some salt, pepper, garlic salt, basil, and honey mixed in.  This was great!

Lots of pics.

Magnificent coloration!

Glad to see you put the Parmesan or other HardGrated cheese on the top before baking!

How did the boss like it!

This was made at the request of the Boss (wife for those that are not married).  See wanted deep dish.  First 2 attempts she was not real impressed with.  This one she loved.  I gave her a pretty large piece to start with thinking that she would not finish all of it.  She ate it all and grabbed another small piece too!  The tomatoes and sauce mixture really made the difference on this one.

Thanks for the comment.

Nice job Vindii.  Practice makes perfect.  Pictures looked really good.

P.S.  I try to slip my wife the smaller pieces!                   :-D
