If you can’t get you children to eat their veggies, try one of these fried pizza men.  At least they might taste a pizza that is decorated to their choice.  Give them their own dish full of fresh herbs, and watch them dig in.

Norma, your fried pizza men remind me of a carnival I used to go to as a kid in Wilmington, DE (St. Helena's) and I remember they had a stand that made pizza fritta (sp?) and it was AMAZING!  I think they just fried up some grocery store dough, added some ragu pizza quick and some parm cheese (from the green can)... nothing spectacular, but my brother and I would keep going back for more!

now i gotta remember to save some of dough next batch and try to make it with some of my homemade ingredients!

Happy to bring back memories.    My brother and I were talking the other day about a breath mint called Sen Sen.  I used to hate those things, but he did loved them.  They reminded me of eating perfume.  He just thought about them a few days ago.  He lives far from me and asked me to look in stores around me to see if I could find them for him.  I said just go on the web.  I did search for him and found them quickly.  He tries out all the new programs for computers, before they go on computers.  You would have thought he would have looked online.  We both like to go back to old memories. Seems like the Sen Sen were made by a perfume company.  No wonder I hated them.

and as for Sen Sen... while I have never heard of these mints... I'm gonna have to side with you on the 'perfume' mints don't sound too good!

You're welcome anytime.  If you also cut your dough you can make zeppoles and use powdered sugar to sprinkle over the zeppoles.  I don't know if you know what they are, but using pieces of dough and deep frying will produce them.  If you want to know what they look like, just let me know and I will post a link.  Hope your nephew enjoys the fried Pizza men.
