Fake Truffle oil

So is all truffle oil made with chemicals, none of them contain any trace of truffles? Could you buy a very small amount of white truffle and make your own oil? I was reading someone bought 3.3 pounds for $330k.

I think that the $330k truffle purchase was just one truffle 

To answer your question, you could easily make yer own truffle oil.  I would just peel the outside a bit and use the peelings to flavor the oil.  The actual truffle should be used for a higher purpose, (like as a pizza topping)

Yes sir they do. On the cheese counter when I last went  They had the oil. They also had whole truffles.
