Moment of silence for the US soccer team
« on: June 26, 2010, 05:14:03 PM »
I know it has nothing to do with pizza but I thought they did their best, they should have won.

Just saw I put in Shop Talk ment to put in ChitChat

Well, I know in my area many restaurants (including pizza places) were advertising themselves as World Cup headquarters.  So the post here is not far off the mark.

This was the first World Cup match I've watched in its entirety and it wasn't nearly as boring as I had been led to believe.

USA loses, but Africa is still represented.  Works for me (for now).

Totally blows.

USA = Out
Mother's Side of Family is Italian = Out
Father's Side of Family is English = Out

No team with ties to my country or blood are in the World Cup...mon dieu!

Well, I like Spanish food, wine (Priorato!) and flemenco, so Spain might be a good choice.

I like the flair of the Argentinian team.

But I like Brazilian food, cachaca, caipirinhas (my 2nd favorite summer drink) and I love Samba and Bossa Nova....so I guess it's go GO BRAZIL for me! :)

This years US was probably the best team thats why I wanted them to win. Now that they are out I want my other favorite to win NETHERLANDS!!!! If they lose then Argentina is going to take it this time I think.

If Brasil beats Chile, which I'm pretty sure they will. Brazil vs Netherlands is going to be an awesome game.

Can we also have a moment of silence for my team?? England are soooooooooooo bad at Football!
I'm not that fussed though as I don't follow Football.
My bet would be on Argentina but I have a feeling Portugal will do well but they have a tough game tonight.

Hey Guys,

On Saturday, I am actually going to the quarter-final game between Argentina and Germany !!  It's going to be amazing !!

My home is about 4 miles from the stadium in Cape Town.

Then on Tuesday I have tickets for the semi-final, which should be Brazil and Spain...

Doing pizzas for my family on Sunday.

Kind regards.

Barry

Man no one has faith in Netherlands. Netherlands and Argentina are the only two teams that have won all their games.

Final is going to be either Netherlands/Argentina(what I want) or Brasil/Argentina.

Cristiano Ronaldo is such a loser. I don't see why people like him. He was so useless in the game vs Spain, he was a no show. He doesn't care about the WC all he cares about is his big pay check from Real Madrid.
