Author Topic: 2 minute - 900 degree - Electric pizza Oven ? (Read 3921 times)

I found this neat oven about a month ago online meant to post it here, now i cant seem to find it again

pretty sure it was european and convection.

pizzas were baked on screens and the oven had a circular stand where you would place the pizza on.
i even saw a video and it was pretty impressive ..
has any one else seen these or know where i can find them again

thanks for the try, but not close really ..
its a commercial quality type oven , it was stainless steel on the outside. about the size of a normal household oven.

it appeared to have a round tube type insert . about 16" round and 6" high. this is where the pizza was placed on a screen.

when i was looking at it i thought to my self it would be easy to find again, but have spent hours looking without seeing it again .

if i recall the price tag was also in the $6,000 dollar range

i think it cooked in a similar manner, but it got hotter and had a cylinder that a pizza screen is placed on top of

also it said a preheat time of around 3 minutes to get to 832F
i wonder if they are sold in the US ive only seen UK sales

Yeesh, considering the video is 5 minutes would it have killed them to actually show the pizza baking real time?

I'm sorry, but the only way I'm going to believe that this can do a 90 second pizza is to actually see it bake a pizza in 90 seconds.

if they could direct us to a download of the owners manual, that would be great !

i see most pizza oven manufactures edit video to shorten their pizza bake (inc forno bravo), it would be nice to see someone who owns the oven show a complete bake

Yah know...this has given me an idea. I bet I can find some sheet metal and make a cylindrical tube and place it in my oven to concentrate the heat from the broiler downward.

would depend on the size of your heating element, the one in this oven fits right around it

That's exactly what I plan on doing. My broiler element is 10"x12". I could get a tube 12" in diameter in there. If anything, it should help concentrate the heat down which should equate into a shorter preheat time and better top heat = increase oven spring. I can't see it not working.

The tricky part is how high of a tube do I want. What length of tube will get me an equal amount of browness on top in the same amount of time it takes the bottom of the pie to bake. This is too hard to know without testing as it depends on what type of pie I want to bake or what bake temp I want to bake at. hmmm

Re; tubing, I have a pretty strong feeling that this is a convection oven and the tubing is there to direct air.

My guess would be that without a fan pushing the air down the tube, that the heat would just convect its way back to the top and get the roof of your oven glowing red, especially if the tube was 10 or 12" inches long. Any leftover energy would just heat your tube up. Just my .02
