picked up a LBE base today
« on: August 11, 2010, 02:27:16 AM »
went with my dad for a trip to the scrapyard as i haven't been there in a few years.  some guy was throwing out a LBE.....   that works 100%
only problem is he left it at his hunting camp, and some kids used the shell for target practice; so far shot up that it had more holes than metal!
but the bottom is intact and the burner works just great!   going to start fabbing up a c0mpl3x special, fluxcore and stainless, made out of a 55gal drum bottom i have from a leftover welding dunk tank.  will post pictures tomorrow, as i just got home from work and i'm not waking everyone up with a chopsaw and cutting torch at 2:30 in the morning

Do you need to proof the fluxcore before you add it to the stainless ?  LOL, just kidding.  I'll keep an eye on this one just to see what you come up with.
