My son just returned from Australia and brought back some individual packets of Vegamite to show us all. Since Vegamite is a yeast extract paste, could it possibly be used to help dough rise? I thought about trying it, but don't want to waste a batch of dough.The stuff tastes very unusual on it's own, so I'm not sure. But being the pizza geek I am my immediate thought was "How can I use this in pizza?" Anyone with an opinion? Thanks!
