Polly-O Fresh Mozzarella

I think my "local" sams club only had a loaf of stella mozz, but I didn't look for Biazzo.

I have not tried the "Casa Della of Brooklyn NY (mozzerella) at Costco" - I think the one I get is just called fresh mozzarella - wrapped in plastic for 3.99 for the lb ball.

Neither of the closest local Sam's to me had it either.

So, sounds like the fresh moz log is no more.  That's way too bad.

I just made a pizza with the Biazzo cheese and must say it performed better than I expected.  Very nice flavor with a good pizzeria-like consistency. 

I'm thinking of starting a thread summarizing the qualities of the mozz's I can get my hands on.  So far, Cappiello is still my favorite.

the fresh part must be lost on you. fresh means just made not packaged and sold at a costco. it is watery for a reason because as soon as it is made it is placed in water so it does not dry out. being in the nj/ny area i might just be lucky because there are a couple of deli's where you walk in and they are making it behind the counter. all you need is a little salt and you are in mozzarella heaven, polly-o is not fresh muzz as far as i'm concerned
