First Piennolo's of the Season

I noticed my piennolo type Principe Borghese plants had three - just barely - ripe tomatoes tonight, and since they are right next to the oven I decided to make a filetti. They tasted quite nice - tart and slightly sweet at the same time. Full of flavor, even this early. I can't wait for the rest of them for pizza and sauces.

I used my strawberry tomatoes last night to, although I didn't get to try the pizza cause they ate it before I could get a slice. :'(

The pie looks good, I like the crust color.
