Growing Basil or Tomatoes for Sauce: Grow Lights?

I had an interesting idea for growing tomatoes or herbs for pizza, and was curious to know if anyone had any experience.

I've read some studies that state herbs and plants, such as basil, create more essential oils when grown under certain grow lights. Has anyone every tried this? Do you guys think one could find a light intensity that could help to grow basil or tomatoes perfect for making pizza?

HS,  don't know about the oils,  but I have been very please growing basil in my aerogarden year round.  It is great in the winter,  and lets you choose varieties yourself.  Not to mention it is very easy and not time consuming. -marc

I was thinking about getting into LED's for fresh vegetables.  It seems that people use different color ratios for different stages of plant growth also.  Here is a website that also has a forum like this one.
