Dough Boxes
« on: August 21, 2010, 01:18:44 PM »
So my wife picked my up some tupperware to put my dough to ferment in in the fridge. The thing is the diameter is just barely bigger than the dough so after a while the dough fills up the whole base of the tupperware. I remember reading that good dough isn't supposed to expand up as much as it is to expand out. So should I just get return the ones my wife got me or does the dough have no idea what's going on and I'm just fine? I know its something little, but it so often seems with pizza the little things make the difference. Thanks.

Being a newbie myself, I just grab whatever i can find (within reason ) to proof dough balls in, as long as it is round.  If your like me, you'll soon find a ton of other variables that are less easy to address.

So long as it doesn't overflow your tupperware you should be fine in my opinion.

I just ordered the kit from there last week.  One minor glitch to be aware of-- their web site is quoting the wrong UPS shipping costs.  I received a phone call about one business day after I placed my order, explaining the issue and asking me to call to verify that it was OK to charge my credit card for the extra couple bucks for shipping.

I know that problems like this occur, but I appreciate that the company was proactive in contacting me and explaining the issue to resolve it quickly.

Thanks for the note about the UPS quotes.  We have been working on some issues with our new shopping cart, sometimes with much frustration!  Occasionally glitches do occur and we do everything we can to correct the problems and prevent them from happening.
Enjoy the kit and send us or post some photos of your pizzas.  We would all love to see them!
Mike
