Panini Grill Pizza with Ham, Pineapple and Green Peppers

I used a frozen small preferment Lehmann dough ball this morning to make this Panini Grill pizza.

The ham, peppers and pineapples were grilled on my regular BBQ grill.  The tomatoes and peppers were picked from my garden.  This pie was also dressed with Sweet Baby Ray’s Barbecue Sauce and shredded cheddar cheese.  I poured some of the pineapple juice over the ham while it was on the grill.

In my opinion this was a great mid-morning breakfast.  This pizza baked good when grilled on the Panini grill.  The bottom was nice and crunchy and the inside of the rim stayed moist.

Despite having a fundamental objection to putting ham and pineapple on pizza, it does look really good.

Thanks for saying the pizza did look good, even with the pineapple and ham.  I usually don't eat these toppings either, but thought if I grilled the ham and pineapple first, they would have a BBQ flavor.  The cheddar cheese and Tangy BBQ sauce also helped make this pie tasty in my opinion.  I am all for trying new toppings for pies.  I believe if I had some shrimp to grill when I made this pizza, that also would have tasted good, instead of the ham.

My Panini grill has a self leveling top lid.  It is a professional panini grill that I use at market.  The top stays where you put it.  I did grill some tomatoes on the top of the pie from keeping the top to close to the pie.  A couple of tomatoes did stick to the top of the grill.  This Panini Grill can get up to 570 degrees on the top and bottom plates.  I did have to turn the pie a couple of times, because the back wanted to get finished before the front.

Thanks for saying you love the innovation.    Wish I lived closer to you guys.  I would really like to experiment with all of you!  From what I read on other threads and posts all of you come up with great pies.
