Here's my version of "I'm out of dough and I need something quick..."

This is a work in progress and I'll post updated pics as they develop  ;D

this is an interesting proposition...what does one do when you need a quick pie...what recipe would give you the best results--the most flavor--- and a great pie in the shortest amount of time. Lets go pizzaholics...

I'm lost Nathan  ???

I see a dough ball there.  Nothing new, so I guess u didn't have yeast ? or something ... so make another type of dough.

*how* does this "quick" dough differ from any typical dough ? without details I think we'd all be lost, as we can't guess
what the doughball consists of - doh !  ;D

Pizzamaker, Rib Smoker, HomeBrewer, there's not enough time for a real job.

The other option is to buy freshly made dough from your friendly local neighborhood supermarket.

Nathan and anyone else who might want a tip
If you are in a bind for dough
Go to the pizzaria that you frequent and buy a dough ball. Most places will gladly sell this to you. I have paid between 1.00 and 2.00 a ball. One place had them frozen, so just had to thaw.
Or
Use a starter like PFT.
I think the flavor is just as good as a 24 hour ferment.

PFTAYLOR:
Good Morning. In another thread I saw your photos of your pizza & your beatiful daughter. I enjoyed seeing them both.
As you know PF, If one is in such a hurry they can consider doing a "UN-LEAVENED "Italian bread recipe....That is if they know how.
Good Luck to you PF & have a nice day.

That's funny.  No I wasn't out of yeast.  I just hadn't planned on making pizza last night.  It was a spur of the moment thing.  Anyway, I use the same recipe (Lehmann NY) as usual only I double the yeast.  I also let it rise on top of the preheating oven.  I have no fan hood and it gets pretty warm on top of the stove.   It seems to work ok.

I have never tried to buy dough from a pizza place but I'm sure I probably could.

Here's the other pics.

Oh I tried using a starter once but it didn't turn out too good.  It was that King Arthur brick oven pizza recipe.  ???
