I tried a new sauce today, and it was an experiment, but have to say it was excellent,
recipe as follows
1 28oz can crushed tomatoes, I used Wegmans kitchen ready
1/4 tsp oregano, Basil
1/4 to 1/2 tsp kosher salt
2 tbls chopped onions
3-4 cloves chopped garlic
1 tbls chopped celery
In a sauce pan 2 tbls olive oil
sautee onions celery for about 5 min, add garlic and continue for another 3-4 min
add tomatoes & spices keep on heat for another 5min.
use a stick blender and blend till smooth add water to your likings of consistency.
cool and refrigerate for a day or let cool on counter if using the same day.
