Interesting double crust cracker pizza
« on: January 03, 2011, 02:47:38 PM »
There is a small restaurant near me that serves a thin crust pizza which is doubled up - one dough sheet on top of the other, each docked. The menu says it is made with flax, oatbran & whole wheat flour. It is extremely tasty. Any ideas where I should start with this? I will probably try the site recipe first, as I have never made this style. I would think it could be a very easy pizza to make and be cooked in a toaster oven.

Hi John, There's your Monthly Challenge entry. I myself am going with the toaster oven as I have never baked pizza in it before. I will be following this thread.

In reference to the double crust, but not to the flax oat bran and whole wheat, AR did a double thin crust here :http://www.pizzamaking.com/forum/index.php/topic,12446.msg119652.html#msg119652

With the picture of the mentioned crust here:http://www.pizzamaking.com/forum/index.php/topic,12446.msg119721.html#msg119721
