Sourdough starter and all the others
« on: March 07, 2012, 09:07:16 AM »
Pardon if there's already a thread with the same answers, but I'm just lost in the different starters and how they differentiate themselves from eachother. So could someone please elaborate a bit on the differences between say:
Sourdough starter
Ischia starter
Motherdough

"Motherdough" and "Sourdough Starter" could probably be used interchangably. "Ischia starter" is but one of the endless varities of sourdough starters.

I love pigs. They convert vegetables into bacon.

Thanks for clarifying. So basically it's all the same in the end?

Yes, but like anything else, read these things in context. People don't always mean exactly what they write.
