We're on the east coast trying to clone Shakey's pizza recipes with foods available locally at retail. We have had folks in California send us samples. But, the samples were from different Shakey's and tasted different. The ones from a corporate-owned Shakey's taste different (and inferior) from the ones I remember from the last remaining Shakey's in the Northeast.
Does anyone know if any Shakey's are still using 'legacy' recipes, rather than just using the custom-manufactured food products?
