New Google Search
« on: March 09, 2011, 10:45:32 AM »
Bill (Bill/SFNM) requested that I add a Google Search feature to the website.

He says that he has better success at finding old posts using Google than from using the forum's built-in advanced search. He went on to say that people might be more likely to find what they're looking for if this option were available.

So, I just added this new feature.

From the forum's home screen, scroll to the bottom of the page and you'll see a new Google Search box.

Thanks, Steve, so much for this. Just to see how well Google has indexed this forum, I typed in the following search for one of the more common queries from new members:

"sticking peel"

Give it a try.

Please be aware that the Google Search engine has all kinds of cool options to help you find things. Here is one of many sources I have used to help get the most out of Google Searches:

The old basic and advanced forum search remains unchanged.

Procrastinate later

I like it!  :)

Works like a charm.
