I'm looking at taking G-town, RR, CP, and Leander, but first things first... visiting the city halls and the county courthouse. Then, if they're not insane (Austin REQUIRES an enclosed trailer. No carts, or standing out on your own), then visit the farmers markets to see what their turn out is. I don't want to get into it if it's not going to turn a profit. No business = not worth it. I'm really excited about the possibilities, but I'm also not looking at it with rose colored glasses.

I'll just have to figure something else out if this doesn't pan out.

I'm planning on going up to the county courthouse to find out exactly what the limitations and regulations are. The guy who was going to join forces with me and take Central and South Austin says he talked to a bunch of folks at the farmers markets yesterday and the City of Austin, in their all-knowing and all powerful decision making, has sent out a royal decree that you MUST MUST MUST have a trailer to be a mobile food vendor - which neither of us can afford at this point since we're both unemployed and doing this to try and make some extra cash. I'm hoping Williamson County isn't infected with that self-importance.

Don't come to Harris County, I believe the City of Houston still mandates that your mobile food trailers are inspected and sanitized each day at a City Operated Sanitation Station. I heard some people have to wait a few hours in the line to be sanitized.  I have no idea what the city charges for this.   

Just curious what kind of trailer do you need?  a flatbed? or like a concession trailer? what about a food cart like the ones they have in NY?

I couldn't figure out how to vote. But I like Roamin' among the choices. But what I really like is "Ronzo's Pizza". It's perfect. And when you open your permanent shop you won't have to change your name.
