I did a search and no one's reviewed my favorite yet, so I jot a few lines to up my post count to FIVE!
I first met the chef/owner, Elio Scanu, at a cooking class he was teaching. He's run several restaurants around the world, and was head chef at Snowbasin Ski Resort. He opened his own place, Zucca's, in 2008 just when the economy was tanking. He did extremely well, however, and its hard to get a table sometimes.
He imported an Italian brick oven for the place (can imagine what shipping costs were on that!)
Wood-fired, not coal, and his is the best Pizza Margherita I've ever had. Pizzas are half-price on Wednesday nights. He also gives a lot of cooking classes and demos (I took his cheesemaking class two weeks ago, and learned he makes his own mozzarella for his pies). He's a stickler for fresh, local ingredients and it shows; my favorite restaurant in northern Utah! www.myzucca.com
