Japanese Pizza

I just realized what's missing on this site - or at least I couldn't find it, and I hope it merits being its own topic:  Japanese pizza!

Not that I know much of anything about Japanese pizza.  Indeed, that's why I started this topic:  to learn more about it.  Perhaps some of this site's visitors have been to Japan and tasted it and can give us some info, perhaps even a dough recipe?  Well, I guess I'll start off with a link to an English-language Japanese-pizza site, with pics:

As one can see from the photos and descriptions, the toppings, to say the least, are quite... uh... interesting.  And here's another site...

... with more pics and some interesting descriptions, such as:

• "Mix-J" - onions, green peppers, salami, bacon, corn and pizza sauce
  
• "German Taste" - bacon, potato, onion mayonnaise, pizza sauce
  
• "Curry German" - potato, bacon, tuna, onions, corn and curry sauce
  
• "Hot Dog Pizza" - cabbage, wieners, scrambled eggs and tomato ketchup
  

I'm curious to know how many other Pizzamaking denizens are curious about Japanese pizza - or am I the only one?

And finally, frankly, it's going to take me awhile to work up the courage actually to try to make - and taste - one of these things, so I'm hoping someone else will try it first!

I simply ran out of time during this month's challenge to devote to my versions of commercial Japanese pizza but I was inspired to use wasabi mayo and my umami sauce(made popular by others) used in the garnish pattern you will see in several of the pictures. And yes, later pizzas had corn and sliced hotdogs toppings with ketchup and mayo which my Mexican friends love.

You might like to impress your Mexican friends with a Venezuelan hot dog, which is a hot dog on a bun, topped with ketchup, mayo, shredded chopped cabbage and crushed potato chips.

Lol, thanks for the crumbled potato chip idea. No doubt they would love the extra saltiness.
