Oil test and bake time

Hey everyone,
Im thinking about adding some olive oil to my pizza this weekend in two ways:  1) brushing some on the rim, and 2) spraying it over the cheese both before baking.

What Id like to do is use the oil for only half the pizza, and compare it with the other half. Im wondering, however, if the oiled rim or cheese will require a longer bake time, which would mean I couldnt do a fair comparison of the two halves.

I'd appreciate any thoughts.

no, it wont require more bake time.   it might actually brown a little more, but see how it goes.

If you are doing vegetables only, you should certainly oil it, more around the edges than the center.  If it is a meaty pizza, you may want to just brush some on the rim.

Thank you Scott and Tscarborough,
I will go ahead with the oil as planned. This is a plain cheese pizza (no toppings), and I use a bit less cheese than most people.
