I *would* like a new logo for the site... been planning to upgrade the graphics for some time now, but haven't had the time.

The logo that I always envisioned for the site was a "blueprint" of a pizza that fades into a real pizza. You know, blue paper, white circles, etc... that morphs into a real pizza... the morphing part would be a pixelated "computer like" pattern.

i was actually referring to the pizzamaking word logo. not the pizza slices.
but i know what you mean. i know you can use some morphing softare, ive used them before on animal to human face morphing. but the one i used didnt have pixel morphing. im sure i can be done with affter effects.
i was thinking more of a static image. cooloer font mabey with a pizza texture and drop shadows.

Steve, if you're looking for an animated 3D pie that starts as a blueprint, morphs into a cartoony raw pie and then morphs into a real baked pie, I could see about doing that. It would be fun, is along the lines of the stuff I am learning to create, but you probably have little use for an animated logo. I think I may do it any way. Maybe the baked pie explodes into tiny pieces and reforms into the text logo. And then the giant battlestar ....

I have used that meme on a couple of ads/brochures.  It would be a cool logo.

Photyshop would achieve that no problem.

Exactly the sort of thing I'm looking for... drawing (blue print) that morphs into the real thing... but instead of a blur/fade transition I'm thinking pixels. That way we're "making" pizza using a digital means (Internet).

Bill -- Not looking for an animated logo... but one similar to what Tscarborough posted.

I know, but I'm working on it anyway. I'll turn it in for an assignment for one of the 3D animation classes I'm taking. I'll PM you a link to it once it's finished if you want to take a look.

No. What I'm working on is very different.

That's close.

What I had envisioned was something like that, but rotated 90 degrees so the drawing was on the left. White background, black ink. More simplistic drawing. Round pepperonis. Measurement lines. then blocky pixels running down the middle (top to bottom) revealing a finished pizza to the right half... but not so photo-realistic finished product... more like the drawing side (same scale) only colored in, somewhat realistic.

Here's one that Mike (Boy Hits Car) put together for me back in 2007... I think it looks great but I wanted more of drawing on the left that transitions into the pizza.

Steve, I hope you (and Mike) don't mind, but the old test logo is now my desktop wallpaper and it looks great!
