I've lived in NC for 37 years, including CLT. I have yet to fine any pizza that I can wholeheartedly recommend. I make my own.

Here's a few that some folks recommend.

Thanks Man!

i checked out a few of those places before I started making pizza and even tried Brixx for lunch....wasn't too bad but you know the drill about making your own ;)

I'm also a HUGE fan of Sushi and checked out Sushi Zen which was an odd bird that I won't be going back to....Sushi and Spanish Tapas, what a strange combo!

P.R. opened Pie Town on Trade St, across from Johnson and Wales.  Killer mushroom pizza!  Plus homemade root beer.  We would go once a week except we're a little north and it's a little pricey to go that often.

If you're going to be in the University area try Due Amici on Prosperity Church Rd.  We love the Caprese - fresh motz, garlic, roasted peppers and basil.  A joint, not a restaurant like Pie Town.

Have fun!
Dave

I had no idea.  The website indicates it has the same owners and an expanded Italian menu.  Several of the pizzas are still on the menu including my wife's beloved Wild Mushroom and their signature bacon, egg and arugula.

I don't know if PR is still involved.

Looks like it's closed but I can review the current place as it sounds like it's very close to my favorite cigar bar in town, Cutters!

As for my work, I'm in the training biz with a large public REIT :)
