I've been trying to make my own pizza sauce and I'm pretty happy with it. Just using basic ingredients like tomato paste and canned tomatos with some spices mixed in.
I just realised that I ate some that had been sitting in the fridge for about 3 weeks on my pizza last night. There was no mould on it and it tasted fine, but I've read that sauce doesn't keep that long in the fridge?
Is it a good idea to make a large batch of sauce and then freeze it for future use? If so, about how long will it keep for? Also any tips on freezing/defrosting?
