Cuisinart vs KA hooks

Is the cuisinart dough hook like the KA C-hook?

From what I have read the C-hook isnt that good compared to the spiral hook, and will probably be the deciding factor on which mixer I buy. I have read alot about the dough riding up the C-hook.

Cuisinart mixer-$250- come with small food processor
KA pro 600- $320- comes with ice cream maker (will never be used) but might get a price match and pasta attachments for $10 more somewhere else.

Not interested in other mixers, just looking for the quality of the hooks.

I have the Cuisinart 800W model, and I'm very happy whit it.... the hook has a little spiral to it... works great for my pizzas and breads...

I switched to a sprial hook on my older KA Pro 5.  Been using it that way for a few years with no problems, works much better than the C-hook..  I like the looks of the KA's better than the cuisinarts also, so personally I would go for the KA.

Where did you find the spiral hook for the 5qt? All the spiral ones I've seen say not for us with the 5/5.5qt mixers.

The KA pro-600 does not have a C-hook.  It has a spiral hook.
