A buddy told me about this site - and I had to register.
I have been doing pizza's on the BBQ for about 5 years now - but always using dough bought from a local pizza chain.
Just last week I picked up a pizza stone and started making my own dough - well - attempting!
I have only used 1 recipe so far (2 pizza's), and since I screwed it up the first time I had to redo it again.
4.5 cups flour (plain stuff - next time gonna switch it up)
1.5 cups water
2 tsp salt
2 tsp sugar
1 Tbsp Olive Oil
.5 tst ADY (switched it to 1 tsp yeast on 2nd batch)
1st batch not bad - but the crust was heavy (mixed the ADY in the dough after it was all mixed - based on recipe)
2nd batch was pretty good - still not GREAT (actually dissolved the yeast in the warm water to get some activation)
Anyway, glad to be here - and here's a pic of my first attempt - nevermind - newb's can't post pics.
