I started to mess around with sketch program and a photo of my untiled oven.  I kind of like the look of the mosaic.

Scott D.

Not exactly sure about those colors, but I think the mosaic would be excellent.  I like this one for myself : http://www.mosaictilesupplies.com/daytonablend3x6glazedceramicsubwaytilelnb-716.aspx

Congrats on getting the oven this far.

Well after sitting around and not getting much done on the oven I decided with the great weather here in So Cal that i should get it finished.  A few months ago I put on the granite shelf, and today I tiled 5 sides.  I hope to finish by next Thursday.  Here are a few pics.

Nice looking oven John.  Probably less than what I will have ended up paying for mine.  What is the price for that oven?  Just curious, I have friends that are always asking about purchasing ovens.

You buy that, and you'll have to change your name here to Tre Forno.

But, yes, it would make an excellent addition to your garage, I suspect. One of the best Margheritas I've ever had came out of a CF.

If Forno Bravo does not put that in their residential gallery then they are just plain silly! Best of the bunch 2012 for sure Scott!

Thanks guys!

I am almost done tiling, then the grout and sealer and I will be finished!  I had to take a break.  Its amazing how hard tiling can be on the body!

so did you hand crack all the tiles ? the grout should prove much easier than the tile I found the grout a real bear but that was big joints with concrete bag! worst part of my whole built ! think you will have a much better  tile fill and wipe right?

I am debating, do I write something on the oven like my last name or NAPOLI?  Would it look stupid?  Should I just finish the false vent area with more mosaic?  Anyone have any input or ideas?  Thanks,

Scott D.

Yes, last name or nickname.  No it won't look stupid, you built the dam thing.  Yes, more Mosaic, smaller chips to spell what you want.  Maybe the same color as you have already used, or a Blue Angel navy blue and yellow.  Regardless, it will cook the same. :chef: :pizza:

Forno Flyboy?

Looking really good!
I gotta ask though, did you ever figure out a way to seal the chimney pipe?

I finished the arch today.  What a pain in the BUTT!  Ev, I decided to just leave a hole there so I could remove the chimney and cover the oven.  Since it probably on rains about 15 days a year here, I am not worried about water leaking in.  I will have it covered tightly and will make a lid for it.  Jetdeck, I am not sure my wife will go for Top Gu! Maybe I should just put Captain!
