My wife is a professional photographer. She got suckered into believing Living Social's pitch about making crazy money and repeat business... and she did a deal with them. She says she'll never do it again. The deal was "half off" a specific package, but in reality, she was only getting 25% of the original value of the package after LS's cut of it.
It attracted the kind of "client" she was not looking to attract. The same kind of people who get pictures done at walmart. They do not attract the kind of people who believe in loyalty or the kind of people who recognize value in good service or product quality.
I don't know the format of your business, but just keep that in mind. Don't believe the hype...
