Papa Del's thin crust clone recipe?
« on: August 12, 2011, 10:23:13 PM »
So I feel like I have a pretty good handle on deep dish/stuffed (at least a variation that we like) but I have not yet tried to make a Chicago style thin crust.  I grew up in Urbana, on Papa Del's, both deep dish and thin crust, and love both.  Does anyone have a good approximation of their thin crust pizza???

Thanks!

Jess

Bumping up after years to see if anyone can make a recommendation. Do any of the Chicago places that have clone recipes posted here taste like Papa Del's?  Thanks!

I worked at Papa Dels 25 years ago.  All the crust was the same.  The thin was just run through the rolling machine at a lower setting.
