Wow am I happy. I managed to buy one of these on eBay for $25 plus shipping. It is not a toy. This thing has some serious horsepower. It is much bigger than the picture portrays. Hopefully it will improve my sauce consistency to the point where I don't have big chunks of tomato and then soupy stuff elsewhere.

A couple of extra points on this beast of a hand blender.

KitchenAid included a $5.00 rebate in the box which was an unexpected but pleasant surprise. So my net cost was a mere $20.00 plus shipping. I was basking in pizza heaven thinking I nearly stole the $69.95 unit until I ran across a better deal on Amazon this morning. They have the immersion blender for the same $25 less $5.00 rebate with free shipping.
