i'm a lifelong pizza addict from nyc. the last 6 months my wife and i have been on the road, with a good chunk of that spent in her native austin, texas. all the locals swore they had good pizza, but after searching far-and-wide, it sadly couldn't come close to new york. a friend brought back a starter culture from naples, which led me to take a shot at making my own dough. 3 months later and i'm slooooowly getting better.
