COAL BURNING COOK STOVE
« on: July 17, 2005, 10:27:15 PM »
I'm originally from Washington, D.C. but was raised in my father's homeland, the coal patches of SW Pennsylvania.  Growing up we always had a coal burning cook stove so I guess the first pizza I ever had was a coal fired oven pizza.
Lately I've been thinking I buying one of those stoves. I really don't know what I could get the temperature up to  or how to control the temperature but if I'll try and find a good deal here in Appalachian hell.  (I'm retired AND divorced so I can do anything I want)  Anyone have any ideas.    Here's the url of one site that sells these stoves.

Here are several URL's for a coal/wood cook stove that's new one sells for $695 and the other for about $1,100.  It's also a heating stove so I could see putting it in my garage or basement and using it to supplement or even replace my current heating system.  It's small size is not practical for someone who wants to make a large or lots of pizza tho.
