I grew up on Marions and Vic Cassanos (original) in Dayton, Ohio. Its been 40 years since I had one and my memory seems to have slipped.
I think it would be a St. Louis cracker crust with extra salt (Vic Cassanos).
Dough (Imo's from forum with extra salt)
1 cups all purpose flour
1 tablespoons cornstarch
1 teaspoons sugar
1/2-teaspoon baking powder
2 teaspoons salt
1/4 cup water
1 tablespoons olive oil or shortening
It just does not have the same taste as I remember.
If anyone used to work at either place or knows something to help me recreate this I would be very happy.
I am working on the sausage recipe.
