I'm located in what I think is great pizza country - not far from New Haven, Conn. Been here for coming up on 40 years, but didn't try NH until maybe 10 years ago (Pepe's). I thought, "How good could it be?" Well, I was completely blown away. It is great! With the opening of Pepe's in Manchester, maybe 15 minutes away, I seldom go anywhere else. First and Last in Hartford can make a good pizza in their wood-fired oven, but it is, unfortunately, hit or miss. I've been trying to make pizza in our gas-fired oven or in my Weber grill without great success for years. Can't seem to get a good crust without overdoing the toppings.
