Cheap IR thermometer on Amazon

I bought this thermometer the other day on Amazon. It's an awesome deal for $16 shipped! It claims it's range is up to 716' however I used it tonight and it recorded all the way up to 880' on my home oven. There's also a review that claims his read up to 1000'. If you're looking for a cheap IR thermometer, you can't go wrong with this one!
