G'day y'all

My journey here started on another forum, "its pizza dough at 20 paces at sunrise"  :-D Im researching which spiral mixer I want to buy.
I already have a KA which is not that old and I feel its about to die as its making noises and you can smell the insulation burning.  >:(

The newer KA's don't seem to be very robust.

Agreed. Supposedly the new 7 quart is made in the US and is of commercial quality.

@Doughdough: The wattage is the most important thing, generally. Go for the highest you can afford.
