A while back i posted a picture of my first attempt at Chicago style deep dish.
Needless to say it did not go very well. I ordered a pan online and made this today.
Very good overall. I made my own sauce from a recipe i found and it was very good, very strong though.  I may have to tone it down a bit cause the pizza was pretty saucy, at least for my taste.

Now you're talk'in! Tasty looking pie there with good execution...specially for going with that large size so soon. Didn't take you long...

I read somewhere else that you are cooking your sauce down a lil....maybe that is what is giving you the slightly strong flavor. I always just use mine fresh and strained for DD.....to me it keeps the tomato flavor sweeter and brighter. Keep up the good work and nice pics!
