Boschetto Al Tartufo Bianchetto
« on: February 23, 2012, 03:58:32 PM »
Anyone had this cheese? It's amazing, espcially when making a funghi pizza.
A blend of ewe and cow's milk, laced with white truffles.

<drool>Unnghhhh.</drool> I just picked up two wheels from capriflavors.com, about 140 miles from me.

Again, this stuff is otherworldly, Google it.

How much does a wheel weigh? How much did that set you back?
I love pigs. They convert vegetables into bacon.

Each wheel is approximately 1.3lb.
Cost? 20.85 per lb.  >:D

$55.94 incl tax for the two.
Total weight, 2.63lb.

It is completely droolworthy.

Was passing by in a business trip. Was only 15 miles out if the way.

But this is not just cheese, it's so good I think of it as "CILF".

Haven't had it but that is a cheese I would def not "kick outta bed"! :) I wonder if some of the better Italian cheese shops in NYC might have it -- I'll keep my eye out for it.
