Hi all,
I've been making pizza at home for a while now but I'm limited to my oven with a pizza stone or my grill. I had the wacky idea of building a pizza oven, found this site a while back, and found out my idea wasn't so wacky.

Or maybe it is but others are just as wacky as me...
Anyway, I've seen a lot of info on the standard round / igloo type of oven like the Pompeii but not much on other shapes.
I'm just looking for a comparison on things like build difficulty, time, end result of the pizza, etc.
For the rectangular design I found this website:
http://www.diypizzaovens.com.au/Ovens/videos.htmlWatch the first video (DIY Fast Track) for a time lapse of how he build the oven.
It looks like this would be a ton easier to build than trying to build a standard round type like the Pompeii version which is here:
http://www.fornobravo.com/pompeii_oven/pompeii_oven.htmlSince this is something brand new to me, I'm looking for something to make as more of an experiment. I'm the kind of person that starts a job, gets it working, and then tends to never finish it off. heh. So the easier/faster it is to build, the more likely I will actually get it done.
Anyway, are there any pros and cons of one style vs another for backyard pizza making?
Thanks.
