Maybe it is the time of the year. Today, 4/2/2012, I bought a five pound bag of GRANDE shredded WHOLE milk Mozzarella for 2.60 a pound, from a friend that makes Pizza in his store. A few weeks ago he was paying 3.04 a pound. Keep in mind that the distributors of the cheese can charge what they want. Sometimes if a Pizzeria is buying large quantities of product (not just cheese), they will get a better price than another Pizzeria / Store that purchases less products. However, it is clear that the GRANDE cheese price has fallen a bit. Buy now, i am sure that the price will go up in warmer weather.
